Hello current and past Comox Valley Kickers members, The Comox Valley Kickers Men’s Team are starting their Spring 2015 Season training and we would like to invite you out for a run. Training will be held on Thursdays at 6:30pm, and we will be starting this Thursday with a friendly game of touch followed by drinks in the club house.   For those in a less competitive mode either due to life, family, or injury please come out this or any Thursday after practice for a drink. Practice usually ends around 7:30ish. Players Needed For the Victoria International Sevens – Sept. 7

Hello Kickers, The Victoria International Sevens is scheduled for Saturday Sept. 7th. It will be an 8-team event with the following teams involved: Crimson Tide Langara Lodge Selects Canada (2 teams) Old Puget Sound Beach – USA USA Falcons Edmonton Elite – Lionheart Barbados National Teams [important]Note that Canada has 2 teams. If not playing for Canada players will be needed for the eighth team, the Crimson Tide team. This will be a good opportunity for strong Island sevens players not already known by Rugby Canada to be seen.[/important] This is a great tournament to play in, with $10,000 in prize money up for grabs and, as mentioned, Rugby Canada will be there for selection purposes! Note also that they may also be looking for a coach if Jeff Williams is unavailable and any recommendations there would be appreciated. Looking for Some Kickers to Help Elevate The Arts!

Hello Kickers, Elevate the Arts, now referred to as Elevate, is a family orientated grass roots arts festival in Courtenay this weekend. See their website at: http://www.elevatethearts.com/ The organizers are looking for capable bodies to help with setup and teardown of tents, tables, and barricades. Friday Mid-day, and  both Saturday, and Sunday Mornings. Volunteers are requested to put in a minimum of 4hrs of volunteer work. By doing so the volunteer + 1 guest will have access to the events hospitality area which has snacks, meals, and best of all beer by donation.
