Rugby is an amazing sport. It builds positive, strong attributes on a variety of levels. It promotes, first and foremost, team play. There are 15 players on the field, working towards a shared goal and supporting each other every step of the way. It also develops all kinds of muscles, ball skills, communication skills and hand-eye coordination. All things that benefit our little growing  stars a.k.a. the Comox Valley Rugby Rascals. BRING A BUDDY” Youth are asked to participate in as many training dates as possible in order to gain the most from the program and to be properly prepared for Jamborees throughout the season.         [notice]Kit: [/notice] Tall socks and Shorts (The team colors are maroon & black - so black socks/shorts are preferred.) The Comox Valley Kickers Rugby Rascals are ready to start another season of sports. Our first ‘unofficial’ practice is Sunday (23 Feb) at 1pm at Fallen Alders.  Our first ‘official’ practice will be at Comox Rec on Sunday, March 3rd. It is a ‘Bring A Buddy’ day. [important] Island 1st Division Five team Cowichan Cup league - triple round. Only Cowichan cup games count for playoff seedings. The Comox Valley Kickers RFC play a single round robin exhibition schedule against Cowichan, Nanaimo, Port Alberni and Velox Valhallians. Clubs are encouraged to play Comox on bye weekends when possible. FALL 2012 SEASON TRAINING BEGINS

The Kickers RFC will begin training training for all Fall 2012 leagues in the next coming weeks. MEN:  begin training Tuesday August 7th at the Fall Alders training field and will continue to run Tuesday’s and Thursday’s at 6:30. First scrimmage against Nanaimo Hornets September 8th, league games begin September 16th. WOMEN: begin Training Monday July 30th at Lower Lake Trail and will continue to run Monday’s and Thursday’s at 6:30. First league game is September 8th against Nanaimo Hornets at home. JUNIORS: U15, U17,U19  begin training Thursday July 19th at 6pm at Lower Lake Trail field. Girls U17, U15 are training Tuesday nights 6:30pm. Schedules TBA...
